The Tarrazú region, near the Poas volcano in Costa Rica, boasts an ideal climate for producing some of the world’s best coffees. Its high altitude, volcanic soils, and favorable temperatures result in a clean cup with softness and balance. Most Costa Rican coffees come from this area, grown at elevations starting from 1200 meters above sea level, qualifying them as SHB (Strictly Hard Bean), the highest classification in the Costa Rican system.
