Additional Information
Founded on July 15, 2012, the cooperative where our organic Peruvian coffee was established by 12 men and 3 women committed to developing an effective and self-sustaining model of cooperativism, free from middlemen. From the start, their mission has been to improve coffee production while enhancing the quality of life for farming families. Today, 943 producer families cultivate coffee across 45 regions at altitudes between 1,200 and 1,900 meters above sea level. With a strong focus on organic and sustainable farming, these families work in harmony with the environment, ensuring high-quality coffee while preserving their land for future generations.
The cooperative actively supports its members through training, resources, and strategic partnerships with government and nonprofit organizations. Through initiatives like the SIERRA SELVA ALTA PROJECTS and collaborations with the NGO Solidarity, producers receive guidance on organic farming techniques, soil conservation, coffee plantation renewal, post-harvest processing, and reforestation. By promoting sustainable agricultural practices and environmental stewardship, the cooperative empowers farming families to view their land as a long-term investment, securing both their livelihoods and the future of organic coffee production.
