Founded on 15 July 2012, the cooperative where our organic coffee from Peru is produced was established by 12 men and 3 women committed to developing an effective and self-sustainable cooperative model, without intermediaries. From the beginning, their mission has been to improve coffee production and, at the same time, raise the quality of life of the producing families.
Today, 943 producing families grow coffee in 45 regions at altitudes between 1,200 and 1,900 metres above sea level. With a strong focus on organic and sustainable agriculture, these families work in harmony with the environment, ensuring high quality coffee and preserving their land for future generations.
The cooperative actively supports its members through training, resources and strategic partnerships with government agencies and non-profit organisations. Through initiatives such as the SIERRA SELVA ALTA Projects and in collaboration with the NGO Solidarity, producers receive guidance on organic farming techniques, soil conservation, coffee plantation renovation, post-harvest processes and reforestation. By promoting sustainable agricultural practices and care for the environment, the cooperative empowers farming families to see their land as a long-term investment, securing both their livelihoods and the future of organic coffee production.
